Built in 1858, Steinway Mansion was a crown jewel amid the piano-making family factory grounds in Astoria. But its glory winnowed down to a series of PriceChops, after it originally entered the market in 2009 seeking $5M. Last we checked, it wanted $2.9M, and the Steinway estate’s executrix was also willing to carve up the property and sell three out of seven plots for a mere $1.9 million.
